Tear Drops in Motion

Uncategorized | December 5th, 2012

So last night, Todd and I got together and brainstormed plans for the Tear Drop trailer we’ll be building. For those of you who do not know what a teardrop trailer is, here ya go…

The open hatch you see on the back is the kitchen area, while the rest of it is sleeping/living quarters.

Mine will not be nearly as shiny or elaborate as the two posted here, as I’m a very bare bones and practical person when it comes to traveling.  Due to the size of me and my touring companion, we’re going to need as much leg room as possible if this is going to be a comfortable ride.

I think the most fun about the brainstorming process is that anything goes, even adding a periscope to the top. lol We’ll see if that actually make it into the final production of everything. So I will be scouring Craigslist for parts the next few months here and then some. Right now, we’re still trying to find a base. The lighter everything weighs, the better, as we’ve got 2000 lbs. to work with, and we’ve already got close to 500 lbs. of body that will be sleeping in it.

Among other news, I just got my tracks back from mastering today, and I love it. I’ve been working on the case art work and what not today. I know…CD’s are outdated and overrated…but some people still like them, so I will make at least 100 to take with me on tour. More on that later…my internet activity is slowing my upload to Kunaki.
