PROUD MEMBER OF RAINN

I am a proud member of the RAINN speakers bureau. I am available for interviews, questioneers, and to speak at public functions about my strength, experience, and hope in regards to sexual abuse/violence.

Yes, you can build a good life for yourself, and anything is possible if you’re willing to invest in yourself. Bad things happen to good people every day, but it does not lessen your value as a person. Today, I have value in myself. Today my life is amazing. Today I can hold that little girl of myself with all of my damage and say, “I love you, you are amazing, you’re life has value.” I’m grateful for RAINN. They do important work and and much solace for survivors would not be possible without them.

Feedback from RAINN speaking events:

“I have to tell you that you did a fantastic job as part of the panel on ‘Sexual Violence’ at our workshop. I got such positive feedback from those in attendance that I just had to send you an email. I have never seen such a reaction to any presentation in all my years of attending these workshops. I am glad that you were able to make your very first presentation to such a warm, caring group of people. Now you can go on to tell your story again with confidence. Thank you bunches!”

Billie Wayt – Zonta Club of South Puget Sound

“Hi Becca, Hope this message finds you doing well.
I wanted to let you know that Billie Wayt from Zonta Club of South Sound emailed us to say how much she enjoyed having you speak to the group! We rarely hear back from the people who request speakers after an event, so this was a special email! We’re so thrilled that you were able to volunteer to speak, and that the group obviously found your talk so impactful.
I am sure that you affected many lives by sharing your story, and we are forever thankful for that! It’s exactly why we started the Speakers Bureau so many years ago.
Please let me know if there’s anything I can ever do for you, or any questions I can answer, and we look forward to working with you again!
Best always, Meredith”

“Dear Ms Baker,
Thank you so much for sitting down for an interview with me last Thursday. Projects like mine can often lose their meaning amidst all the information and the facts, but your story brings humanity to the interviews that I’ve done. Your experience, both as a teen and as an adult, contributed so much to the project as a whole, and I hope you continue to share your story with others. It affected me immensely, and I can’t wait to share it so it can do the same for others.
Thanks, Semitore Sobande”
