More Awesomesauce!
So just got Brooklyn, NY locked in…Portland is about locked in too. Stoked for this tour. I’m really looking forward to meeting folks I’ve been talking with online for years but never had any face time with, and looking forward to reconnecting with friends I’ve met on the road prior and then some. Been listening to Aaron Baca’s band, Dead Remedy, from Portland. They are fucking awesome! I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Aaron at the Red Room one night for one of his solo gigs, but have never heard his band before. I’m currently working on a date at the Ash Street Saloon in Portland, and asked if he’d be down to play with me. He sent me a link to his band, and I’m really loving it. I love his solo stuff too. I recorded this when I played with him at The Red Room back in September of last year.

So among other good news, got a call from Bob Wayne yesterday…it is official, my ticket is bought, and I am officially an Outlaw Roadie. 🙂 Gonna be working for Bob Wayne and the Outlaw Carnies over the summer for his European tour as tour manager and merch girl. I fly out from New York on June 12th, leaving this continent behind for the first time ever. 🙂 I’ve had my passport for over 2 years now, and have never used it. I won’t be back stateside until August 13th…it’s gonna be weird rolling without Sam for so long, but I’m gonna bring my harmonicas with me so I’m still practicing something.
I am so grateful for sobriety, and I’m excited to see what other doors of opportunity might come my way as I face the world around me with focus and clarity. Almost 7 months sober now, and I don’t ever want to go back to the way things used to be.
