So my mom recently set up a project on the fundraising platform, Indiegogo. Her goal is to own and live on a small goat farm. She doesn’t exactly know how to go about it, or where to start, she only knows that a farm life is the life for her. So…I just finished sealing up fliers to ship out to venues along with button orders tomorrow. A lot of progress has been made today. My hubby helped me get the room cleaned up a bit, so I feel like I can breathe a little bit easier. Been in negotiations with getting a show set up in Lander, WY. Well, the date I originally planned on leaving has changed. So much is up in the air. I leave in roughly 23 days. My tax return has been beyond delayed, with no explanation of why, so there’s a lot of shit on hold, but I’m not giving up. I have about $80 to my name right now, a $450 tshirt order in limbo, a $50 dress order in limbo, and I still have no fucking clue what I’ll be driving on this tour. Seriously. So I’ve been teaching myself how to write contracts, do tax equations, and a bunch of other business shit over the last week or so. It’s pretty frustrating at first, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. It’s just like anything else in life…if you look at the project as a whole, it’s too big and overwhelming, but if you can break it down into sections, and work on each section as needed, then it all starts to fit together and doesn’t seem so intimidating.
